How to maintain the best view

Maintain the best view on Macao Online Map by using Internet Explorer 9 or above / Firefox browser.

Best viewed with 1280 x 800 or higher resolution.

If you are having trouble using Macao Online Map with Internet Explorer 9 or above / Firefox browser, please try the following steps to see if any of them resolves the problem:

 

  • Make sure JavaScript and ActiveX are enabled

  • To enable these browser settings in IE:

    1. Click “Tools” > “Internet Options”.
    2. Click the “Security” tab.
    3. Click the “Custom Level” button.
    4. Verify that the “Enable” button next to “Run ActiveX controls and plug-in” is selected.
    5. If you are using XP, verify that the “Enable” button next to “Binary and script behaviors” is selected. If you are not using XP, continue to step six.
    6. Verify that the “Enable” button under “Active scripting” is selected.
    7. Click “OK”, then click “OK” again to save your changes.

    The easiest and safest way to enable Macao Online Map in your browser is to add our map to the list of “Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer. Here's how:

    1. Click “Tools” > “Internet Options”.
    2. Click the “Security” tab.
    3. Select the “Trusted sites” icon, and click the “Sites” button.
    4. Deselect the option “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone”.
    5. In the text field “Add this Web site to the zone: ”, type “webmap.gis.gov.mo” and click “Add”.
    6. Click “OK”, then click “OK” again to save your changes.

    To enable these browser settings in Firefox:

    1. Click “Tools” > “Options”.
    2. Click the “Content” tab.
    3. Select “Enable javascript”.
    4. Select “Enable java”
    5. Click “OK” to save your changes.

     

  • Clear the browser's cache

  • In Internet Explorer:

    1. Open IE and click “Tools”.
    2. Select “Internet Options”.
    3. Click “General”.
    4. Click “Delete Files....” under the heading “Temporary Internet files”.
    5. Click “OK” to exit

    In Firefox:

    1. Open Firefox and click “Tools”.
    2. Select “Clear Private Data”.
    3. Click “Clear Private Data Now”.
    4. Click “OK” to exit.

     

  • Check for browser plug-ins

  • Some third-party browser plug-ins are designed to modify webpage content and may interfere with the map display. If applicable, please try temporarily disabling components that may disable our maps in your browser.


If you are having trouble using the print function of Macao Online Map, please try the following steps to see if any of them resolves the problem:

  • Check for browser pop-up settings

  • Use pop-ups in Internet Explorer:

    1. Open IE and click “Tools”.
    2. Select “pop-up blocker”.
    3. Click “pop-up blocker setting”.
    4. In the text field of the heading “address of web site to allow”, type “*.gis.gov.mo”.
    5. Click “Add”.
    6. Click “Close” to exit.

    Use pop-ups in Google Toolbar:

    1. Open IE, type the website “webmap.gis.gov.mo” and click “Enter”.
    2. After open Macao Online Map, select the button under “pop-up blocker” in Google Toolbar.
    3. Click “always allow pop-ups from this site”.

     

     

If you are having trouble using Macao Online Map with Internet Explorer 8 browser, please try the following steps to see if any of them resolves the problem:

  • Check for browser compatibility view settings

  • 1. Open IE and click “Tools”
    2. Select “Compatibility view”

    Add Macao Online Map to the website list of compatibility view. Here’s how:

    1. Open IE and click “Tools”.
    2. Select “Compatibility view settings”.
    3. Type “webmap.gis.gov.mo” in the text field “add this website” and click “Add”.
    4. Click “Close” to exit.
